Seamless gutters and guards for Broken Arrow's oaks, pecans and downpours

Six-inch seamless aluminum, 3×4 downspouts that take a two-inch-an-hour storm, and micro-mesh guards that shed oak leaves and pecan husks — installed with the roof or on their own.

Installer fitting seamless aluminum gutters with mesh guards on a home under mature oak trees, leaves in the old gutter

Gutters in Broken Arrow have two jobs and two enemies. The jobs: get thirty-nine inches of rain a year — a lot of it in two-inch-an-hour spring storms — away from the foundation and the fascia, and keep water from backing up under the shingles at the eave. The enemies: the trees, and the hail. Post oaks, pecans, hackberries and the Bradford pears that line every 1990s subdivision drop leaves, catkins, husks and twigs into a gutter for eight months a year, and a gutter full of pecan husks holds water against the fascia until it rots. Hail does the rest — the May 2024 stones flattened gutters across south Broken Arrow, and dented gutters are one of the most common items on a Tulsa County hail claim.

We install seamless aluminum gutters roll-formed in your driveway to the length of each run, in the .032 gauge that survives a ladder and a hailstorm better than the .027 stuff, with hidden hangers every two feet, oversized 3×4 downspouts, and properly pitched runs that actually drain. On a house with any tree cover we recommend six-inch gutters and stainless micro-mesh guards; the foam inserts and wide-slot covers fill with catkins by June and the fine mesh doesn't. Where the fascia's rotted behind the old gutter we replace it, prime it and wrap it before the new gutter goes on.

Questions we get about gutters & guards

Do I need six-inch gutters?

If there's a tree over the roof or a big roof slope draining to one corner, yes — a six-inch gutter carries about 40 percent more water and clogs slower. On a small ranch with no trees, five-inch is fine.

Which gutter guards actually work with pecan trees?

Stainless micro-mesh. Pecan husks, oak catkins and Bradford pear leaves get through or on top of everything else. Mesh needs a rinse every year or two; that's the whole maintenance.

Can you replace my hail-dented gutters on the insurance claim?

Usually. Dented gutters and downspouts are a normal line item on an Oklahoma hail claim; we photograph them with the roof and include them in the estimate.

Should I do gutters with the roof?

It's the cheapest time — the crew's there, the drip edge goes in correctly behind the new gutter, and the fascia's exposed for repair. If the gutters are sound we leave them and install a new drip edge over them.

My gutters overflow at the corners in a storm. Why?

Undersized downspouts, a run pitched the wrong way, or a corner that takes water from two big slopes. Usually the fix is a 3×4 downspout at that corner and a re-pitch, not new gutters.

Do you install copper or steel gutters?

Yes, on request — copper for the older homes near the Rose District that want the look, galvanized steel on shops and barns. Most homes get aluminum.

Hail season runs March through June. Get the roof looked at before it starts.
